In this paper, a method is proposed to operate loads in PV-powered standalone dc microgrids using droop control. The system voltage is considered as a control signal for power distribution as well as connect/disconnect loads based on PV power. The proposed method ensures smooth dynamical response in the line voltage to avoid unnecessary load switching.
