This paper proposes novel hollowed magnetic ring cores involving multiple materials for enhance performance of (electromagnetic interference) EMI filters. Numerical investigations of the magnetic flux density distribution within the core demonstrate increased uniformity at high frequency, boosting the attenuation of EMI. Additionally, multi-material core structure enables tailoring filter’s impedance and magnetization characteristics. The performance of the new solution was verified by impedance measurements and comparison with a conventional core, confirming the advantages of the novel configuration for high-frequency EMI suppression applications
