This digest presents a novel 65 W mobile charger employing a 4:1 resonant switched capacitor converter (RSCC). In conventional chargers, parallel architecture is used to support various travel adapters. The proposed method unifies both charging functions in a single 4:1 RSCC topology by utilizing discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). A steady-state analysis of RSCC in DCM is provided and dynamic off-time control (DOTC) is realized through V2 control. Experimental results show that 4:1 conversion and regulation are achieved in a single RSCC.
