    This paper investigates differential-mode (DM) and common-mode (CM) overvoltages and their influence on conducted EMI caused by reflected wave phenomena (RWP) in SiC-based two-level (2L) interleaved three-phase motor drives. A 5 kW SiC-based parallel interleaved inverter with DM coupled inductors connected to an RL motor emulator through a 4 m cable is set up for the study. Experimental measurements reveal that terminal DM RWP exhibits overvoltage oscillations with peak around 2 p.u., while CM RWP reaches approximately 1.4 p.u. and manifests predominantly in the low-frequency EMI spectrum, constraining the EMI filter design. Subsequently, for suppressing both DM and CM RWP, phasor-based optimized dwell-timed achieving maximum CM and DM RWP suppression is proposed and tested. The results demonstrate over 20 dB reduction in the antiresonance frequency peaks of both DM and CM RWP within the EMI spectrum, along with corresponding reductions in overvoltage amplitudes of DM and CM reflected wave transients.
