Server architecture has been changing rapidly to keep up with the extreme power demands from artificial intelligence systems. New 800 VDC requirements outlined by Nvidia for the Vera Rubin class of AI servers, coupled with power levels growing to as much as one megawatt per rack open the door to new device technologies and power conversion architectures. EPC has developed GaN devices that set new benchmarks for each and every stage in the new 800 VDC systems, from the 800 V input all the way down to the output of the point of load. In this talk we will show the latest generation GaN devices that are superior to any MOSFET ever developed at any voltage and where they fit in the future of artificial intelligence.
