STMicroelectronics
Claudio Adragna is a Company Fellow at STMicroelectronics and an IEEE Fellow.
In 1994, he joined STMicroelectronics, where he headed the Power Conversion Applications Laboratory for more than 15 years. He currently serves as the Power Conversion Innovation Sr. Director and Technical Advisor in the “Application Specific Product” Division.
His areas of expertise include ac-dc and dc-dc power conversion in consumer, computer, home appliances, lighting, and industrial markets. He is primarily concerned with the definition of control ICs: PWM, quasi-resonant and resonant controllers, PFC controllers, etc.
Throughout his 30+ year career he has architected and supervised the definition of over a hundred products contributing to their market introduction as well. Some of these products have originated new trends in systems and control ICs for power conversion. This innovation effort has resulted in 230+ international patents in his name, and his contributions to the evolution of resonant conversion technology have granted him the elevation to IEEE Fellow.
Claudio has also authored or co-authored over ninety publications, including one book, conference papers, technical articles in technical journals and trade magazines, and application notes posted on STMicroelectronics’ website. According to Google Scholar, his works have been cited nearly 3000 times.
