Christian Branas received the Ph.D Electronics Engineering degree in 2001 from the University of Cantabria, Santander, Spain, where he is currently an Associate Professor. His research interest includes the design, modeling and control of resonant converters, design of electronic ballast for HID lamps, switch-mode power supplies, topologies for power factor correction applications, LED drivers and battery chargers.
