Matthias Musil received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree (both with honors) in electrical engineering from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Campus Wels, Austria, in 2018 and 2021, respectively. In March 2021 he joined the same institution as a researcher and lecturer in the fields of power electronics and high-voltage engineering. Since September 2024, he has been with the PERL Lab, a joint research initiative between the Electric Drives and Power Electronic Systems Institute (EALS) at Graz University of Technology and Silicon Austria Labs GmbH, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree. His research interests include the modeling, design and control of high-frequency switched power converters employing wide-bandgap semiconductor devices, with a focus on resonant dc-dc converters and soft-switching techniques.
