Ahmed Ismail M. Ali (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. and the M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, South Valley University, Qena, Egypt, in 2013 and 2017, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Nagoya Institute of Technology, Nagoya, Japan, in 2022. Since 2013, he has been with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, South Valley University, Qena, Egypt, as an Assistant Lecturer, where he has been an Assistant Professor since 2022. He is currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Aalto University, Finland. Dr. Ali has authored/coauthored more than 50 technical papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include DC/AC converters, multilevel inverter topologies, modular multilevel converters, model and control of power electronic systems, PWM techniques for DC/AC and AC/DC converters, in addition to renewable energy applications and machine drives. He is also serving as a permanent reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, Industrial Electronics, and high-ranked SCI journals.
