Christoph Sachs received the B.Eng. degree in Mechatronics from the Cooperative State University (DHBW) Stuttgart, Germany, in 2018, and the M.Eng. degree from Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, Germany, in 2023. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the University of Stuttgart, Germany. He is also a Research Associate with the University of Stuttgart and Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, collaborating with Robert Bosch GmbH on efficiency- and cost-optimized inverter and electric machine topologies for battery electric vehicles.
From 2018 to 2023, he was a Research and Development Engineer with IMI plc. Since 2018, he has been a Guest Lecturer with DHBW Stuttgart. In 2025, he was a Visiting Researcher with the University of Auckland, New Zealand, where he worked on high-efficiency cryogenic multilevel inverter concepts for long-range electric aircraft.
