Indian Institute of Science
Subhabrata Basak (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) is a PhD candidate with the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India. He received the B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from the West Bengal University of Technology, West Bengal, India, in 2014, and the M.E. degree in Machine Drives and Power Electronics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, in 2017.
He previously served as a Field Officer with the Cabinet Secretariat of India in New Delhi and has industrial experience through internships with CESC Ltd. and Siemens. His current research interests include capacitive wireless power transfer systems.
Mr Basak received the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) in 2021, was inducted into the IEEE Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) Honour Society in 2023, and received the Prof. Joseph Vithayathil Travel Award in 2024.
