Kuo-Fu Liao received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan. His research interests include power electronics, high step-up DC–DC converters, multi-port power conversion systems, and advanced modulation and control strategies for bidirectional isolated converters.
His doctoral research focused on the design and implementation of single coupled-inductor-based non-isolated high step-up three-port converters for renewable energy and energy storage applications, with emphasis on high efficiency, high power density, and system reliability.
He is currently a hardware engineer at Schneider Electric, where he is engaged in the research and development of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and high-power bidirectional DC–DC converters.
