An accomplished expert in System R&D with over three decades of tenure at STMicroelectronics, Danilo Pietro Pau holds an impressive academic and professional portfolio, positioning them among top Italian scientists. Graduating in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 1992, his technical expertise spans decades, encompassing early HD-MAC decoding, MPEG video memory reduction, H.264 video processing, and graphics standards like OpenVG/OpenGL-ES. A key focus since 2016 has been computer vision and tiny AI, with contributions integrated into major STMicroelectronics platforms like ST EdgeAI Core Technology and the ST EdgeAI Developer Cloud.
