Hossein Niakan received the B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, in 2016, 2023 and 2025 respectively. He conducted research for the PV Integration Laboratory (PIL) of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) since 2018. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow of Power Electronics and Metrology at Energy Production and Infrastructure Center (EPIC), UNC Charlotte. His research interests include prognostics and reliability of wide bandgap power electronics, contact-less current sensing, mixed signal instrumentation, and high power density power management systems.
