Levy F. Costa (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Ceara (Fortaleza, Brazil), in 2010, the M.Sc. degree from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Florianopolis, Brazil), in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel (Kiel, Germany) in 2019. From 2013 to 2014, he was a Power Electronics R&D Engineer with Schneider Electric, working on uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. From 2014 to 2018, he was a Research Assistant with the Chair of Power Electronics at the Christian-Albrechts university of Kiel. In 2018, he joined the ABB Corporate Research Center in Switzerland as an R&D Scientist, focusing on various topics in power electronics. Since 2021, he has been an Assistant Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) (The Netherlands). His research interests include high-power electronics, modular converter designs, solid-state transformers, DC-DC converters, and high-efficiency converter topologies for industrial and renewable energy applications.
