Mr. Robert Bolanos is a Staff Engineer at Southwest Research Institute, in the Space Science Division, and has worked in the Electronics/Engineering field for over 52 years. Mr. Bolanos is an Analog/Power engineer who designs space-rated switch-mode power supplies, RF oscillators, and High-Speed High Voltage pulsers. He has worked on both NASA and ESA space projects such as MASPEX (Europa/Jupiter), STROFIO (Mercury), MMS HPCA (Earth), IBEX (Earth), JUICE (Jupiter), and BepiColombo. Prior to working at Southwest Research Institute, he worked at RCA Service Company, General Electric, Sony Semiconductors, and Motorola. Mr. Bolanos received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1996, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Idaho in 2007. In addition to his professional work, Bolanos shares his expertise through his Bolanos Engineering YouTube channel, where he provides practical tutorials and in-depth discussions on power electronics design for engineers and students.
