Dr. Santhosh Krishnamoorthi is a Technical Advisor in Advanced Electrification Technologies, Corporate Research & Technology department at Cummins Inc. He received his B.E., in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Anna University, Chennai, India in 2011 and obtained M.S., and Ph.D., degrees in Electrical Engineering at University of Minnesota, Minneapolis in 2017. His research interests in Power Electronics included innovations in topologies with specialization in Matrix Converter technology. Currently, Santhosh leads a Department of Energy funded project in development of a High-Power Density Inverter for Medium and Heavy Duty Commercial electric vehicles and supports several other projects which aims at development of electric drives for commercial traction applications. Through his research efforts, he has submitted several invention disclosures and technical papers relating to developments in power electronics and electric drives.
