National University of Singapore
Since October 2025, Dr. Annoy Kumar Das is a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore, focusing on develping widebandgap (WBG) semiconductor-enabled high-performance soft-switched dc-dc converters for high ambient temperature applications.
He received the B.E. degree from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, the M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Mumbai, India, in 2008, 2017 and 2024, respectively, all in Electrical Engineering. From 2008 to 2011, he was with ABB India, Power System Network Manager division. From 2011 to 2014, he was with Siemens India, Metals Technologies Industry division. From 2014 to 2023, as a research associate with the National Center for Photovoltaic Research and Education (NCPRE). From 2024 to 2025, he was with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy, US as a postdoctoral fellow working on development of noise-immune, ultrafast, light-triggerd gate driver for high power silicon carbide (SiC) module.
He has authored/coauthored 29 scientific papers in international journals and conference proceedings and has filed 2 patents. His research interests include modeling and optimization of high-frequency magnetics for soft-switched dc-dc converters, and optical gate driver for high power SiC Module.
