Dr. Emanuel Serban currently holds two positions, VP of Engineering and Adjunct Professor with the Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. He specializes in research and development of advanced renewable and energy storage systems. As a professional electrical engineer at Xantrex Technology Inc., he developed several power electronics platforms for industry and solar photovoltaic applications (1997-2009). As a R&D Chief Engineer at Schneider Electric (2009-2019) he developed hybrid distributed power systems, renewable multi-level converters architecture and platform design. His main fields of interest are in power electronics modeling and control, analysis and design of power converters for renewable, storage and distributed energy systems.
