University of California San Diego
Rafaella Gomes graduated with a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with a focus on Electronic Circuits and Systems as well as Power Engineering, from UC San Diego in December 2025, where she was an undergraduate student researcher at iPower3Es (integrated Power Electronics and Energy Efficient Systems Lab). Rafaella's research interests lie in power electronics, as well as system-level design and integration. She plans to pursue a Master's degree in the renewable energy sector, with particular interest in modularity and resilience of circuits and their systems. Additionally, Gomes has a passion for space-destined electronics, which she explored as a lead engineer at the UC San Diego chapter of SEDS and as a NASA intern. Currently, she works at the startup [DAQ]stra, developing electrical hardware for vertically integrated, modular data acquisition and automation systems.
