Dr. Tomas Reiter joined Infineon Technologies AG in Neubiberg in 2010. As a Senior Principal Engineer, he is responsible for defining the products of future power modules for electric vehicles. He received his Dr.-Ing. degree from the Technical University of Munich in cooperation with the BMW Group, focusing on the control of DC/DC converters for automotive multi-voltage power nets.
With more than 40 conference and peer-reviewed journal articles, as well as over 30 granted patents, in areas such as coreless current sensing, gate drivers, SiC MOSFETs, IGBTs, and power modules – he has significantly shaped the landscape of automotive power electronics. Furthermore, he actively contributed to the development of the ECPE Guideline AQG324. Since 2012, he has been a member of the technical advisory board of the EEHE conference and was elevated to IEEE Senior Member in 2026.
