Mahmoodreza Eskandarpour Azizkandi is a Ph.D. student and Graduate Research Assistant at the FREEDM Systems Center, North Carolina State University. His research focuses on power electronics and high-power converter technologies for electric vehicle (EV) charging and clean energy applications, with particular emphasis on high-frequency SiC-based converters and advanced control of dual-active-bridge (DAB) systems. He received his M.Sc. degree with a perfect thesis grade and has received several academic honors for his research contributions. His current work aims to develop high-efficiency, high-power-density converter solutions that enable the next generation of fast, reliable, and sustainable EV charging infrastructure.
