Christian Schumann is a Professor of Power Electronics at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, Germany, where he is the head of the research group P3E – Power Electronics, Electronics and EMC since 2019. His group focuses on the application of fast-switching transistors, advanced circuit topologies, and novel design methods. He also leads the university’s Institute for Electric Drive Technology and has been a Senior Member of the IEEE since 2021. His current research concentrates on hybrid design methodologies, including AI-assisted optimization, AI-based control of power electronic circuits, and system-level integration.
