Jeffery Nilles is a Principal Design for Alpha and Omega Semiconductor, designing multi-phase power supply controllers and battery management. Previously was a Power Electronics Technologist DMTS for Texas Instrument focusing on Simple Switcher, automotive and non-isolated power products. For 40 Years, Nilles has held various technical and management positions in TI/National Semiconductors automotive and power groups. Prior to TI/National, Nilles held engineering positions at XICOR and Crosspoint Solutions. Jeff has a BSEE from the University of Wisconsin, served on the CPES/Virginia Tech Industry advisory board, and is the recipient of several patents in power management technologies. After he finished serving as a technical program committee member for the IEEE VLSI circuits’ symposium, he is been on the APEC technical program committee for >18 years, handling the power application technical tracks and other tracks. Nilles was elected to a senior IEEE member level in Jan 2016. Current officer positions with the Bay Area IEEE Power Electronics Chapter are Treasurer and Previously as Member at Large. Currently a Senior Life Member in IEEE.
