Ching-Ming Lai (IEEE Senior Member) received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, in 2010. Since 2019, he has been with the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Chung Hsing University, where he is currently a Professor. His research interests include electric vehicles, power electronics, and renewable and sustainable energy systems.
Dr. Lai has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Best Paper Award at the IEEE PEDS (2013), the Technical Paper Award from IEEE PESA (2024), the Outstanding Youth Electrical Engineer Award from CIE-Taiwan (2018), the Outstanding Youth Control Engineer Award from CACS-Taiwan (2019), the Outstanding Youth Engineer Award from CIE-Taichung (2020), the Ta-You Wu Memorial Award from the National Science and Technology Council of Taiwan (2023), and the Outstanding Engineering Professor Award from CIE-Taichung (2024). Since 2021, he has been listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Elsevier. He currently serves as an Editor of IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology and as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Systems Journal, and IEEE Journal on Emerging and Selected Topics in Circuits and Systems. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
