This presentation will help the audience understand how to read and interpret key details in gate driver datasheets. Even though manufacturers try to explain these details clearly, differences in gate driver technologies and design goals combined with differences in the intended applications often make products hard to compare using standard datasheet tables. We will focus on important parameters like propagation delays, part-to-part matching, and rise/fall times. We will explain how these parameters are measured, what their minimum and maximum values mean, and how they affect the performance of the different applications. The goal is to give the audience a good understanding of gate driver basics, making it easier to choose the right one for their needs and help them design more efficient power and cost-effective power electronics systems.
