D02.5 - A Multiple-Degrees-of-Freedom Modulation Strategy for Series Resonant Converter Dual Active Bridge for Minimum Reactive Power and Turn-Off Current in Energy Storage System
The growing interest towards high efficiency, wide input/output range bidirectional DC-DC converter for energy storage systems (ESS) applications attracts more research of different topologies and control methods. In this paper, we will focus on the series resonant dual active bridge (SR-DAB) converter, the design considerations and optimization control scheme of SR-DAB converter will be discussed, which includes the reactive power optimization, zero voltage detection method and turn off current optimization. Furthermore, a 3.6kW SR-DAB prototype is built to evaluate the performance.
