Alberto Pigazo (IEEE M’05 - SM’14) received the M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. in physics (electronics) from the University of Cantabria, Santander, Spain, in 1997
and 2004, respectively. He was a Guest Researcher with the Power Electronics Laboratory, Polytechnic of Bari, Bari, Italy, in 2007, and a Visiting Professor
with the Dept. of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark, in 2013, and the Chair of Power Electronics, Christian-Albrecht University
of Kiel, Kiel, Germany, in 2013. Since 2012, he has been an Associate Professor of Electronics with the Dept. of Computer Science and Electronics, University of Cantabria. His current research interests include power converters for grid integration of renewable energy sources and power electronics for ships.
