Dr. Sandun S. Kuruppu (Senior Member, IEEE) is an associate professor in Western Michigan University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is the founder and director of WMU’s Transportation Electrification and Applied Mechatronics Lab (TEAMS Lab). Dr. Kuruppu received his B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2007 and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, USA, in 2010 and 2013, respectively. Prior to WMU, he held positions at Saginaw Valley State University, Nexteer Automotive, Texas Instruments Kilby Research Lab and Delphi Electronics and Safety.
