Vafa Marzang (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) received his M.Sc. in Power Electronics and Electrical Machines from the University of Tabriz, Iran, in 2019. He worked as a researcher at the University of Tabriz (2019–2021) and as a visiting research assistant at Qatar University (2022–2023). He began his Ph.D. in 2023 at the University of Dayton and is currently pursuing it at the University of Florida under the supervision of Professor Shuo Wang. His research focuses on power electronics, high-voltage testing, electric aircraft powertrains, gate-driver design, SiC packaging, wide-bandgap figure of merit, and EMI in power electronics.
