Avani Ahuja is a senior at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology studying electrical and mechanical engineering. Her current research interests include the design of wireless power transfer systems and the applications of power electronics to biomedical systems. In addition to her research, she serves as president of MIT Design for America, where she teaches human-centered design and mentors students in engineering innovation. Avani plans to pursue a Ph.D. in power electronics, with the goal of developing advanced power conversion systems for biomedical devices and sustainable energy applications.
