Muhammad Azmeer Zahid is a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Utah State University and a researcher with the ASPIRE Engineering Research Center. Under the supervision of Dr. Regan Zane, his research focuses on high-power wireless power transfer (WPT) systems for electric vehicle applications. His work emphasizes resonant and soft-switching converter design and control, including analytical modeling for minimum dead-time prediction and zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) boundary characterization in secondary-side active rectifiers. His research combines modeling, digital control implementation, and experimental validation on high-frequency, high-power prototypes to advance efficient power conversion for electrified transportation systems.
