Md Mohidul Islam received his Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida State University in Fall, 2025. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2021. During his study, he conducted research on power electronics and control under the guidance of Dr. Hui “Helen” Li for high switching frequency closed loop motor drive applications, real time simulations and conducted Controller Hardware in the Loop (CHIL) experiments.
His research interests include developing advanced controls for transportation and aviation applications, digital twin study for multilevel converter based electric aviation propulsion systems and control system design for grid connected inverters.
