Raúl Henares, M.Sc., is a Ph.D. researcher at the Tyndall National Institute, University College Cork, Cork, Ireland. He received the B.Sc. degree in Industrial Electronics Engineering from the Universidad de Granada, Spain, and the M.Sc. degree in Industrial Electronics from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Spain. Prior to starting his doctoral studies, he gained more than two years of industry experience as a Power Electronics Engineer at Frenetic Electronics, S.L.
His current research focuses on high-frequency magnetics and integrated power converters, with particular emphasis on magnetic integration techniques and MHz-range operation. His research interests also include power management integrated circuit (PMIC) modeling and design, as well as the development of advanced magnetic structures for high-density power conversion systems.
