Shivangi Sinha is a third year PhD student in Electrical Engineering (Power Electronics) at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her current research focus is in modular soft-switching converters and planar magnetics for medium-voltage isolation applications. She recieved her M.S. in Electrical Engineering (Power Electronics) from the University of Colorado Boulder, USA in 2023 with her thesis on : "48V-1V active clamp direct forward converter" also under the guidance of Dr. Maksimovic. During her masters, she interned at Cummins Inc. in their Advanced Electrification Technologies team where her project was focussed on design, modelling and hardware validation of high-frequency transformers for high-power DC-DC converter applications. Prior to starting her graduate study, she worked in Eaton India Innovation Center, Pune, India for 2 years in electrified transportation with focus on EMI/EMC analysis of on-board chargers. Her research interests include design, modelling and analysis of soft-switching and resoanant converters, high-frequency planar and non-planar magnetic components and high density packaging of power converters.
