AVL
Mick Winship is the Executive Director for the Advanced Simulation Technologies (AST) divsion, based in North America. Mick joined the AST team full time in December 2024.
Mick has been with AVL for 19 years, serving most recently as Chief Tecnology Officer, and prior to that the Vice President of Engineering and Business Development. Mick has been instrumental in bringing experise in ICE development, hybridization, hydrogen technology, simulation leadership and AI strategy to North America.
Mick has more than 30 years of experience in the propulsion and mobility industry, with time spent at T&N Plc in the UK and at Ricardo in leadership roles for engine programs and simulation prior to coming to AVL.
In his role, Mick will be responsible for the development of long term business relations, culminating in the sales and support of AVL Advanced Simulation Technologies software products and customer projects in North America. This includes developing a growth strategy and full P&L responsibilty.
Mick reports globally to Roland Wanker, Vice President of Advanced Simulation Technologies, and locally to Adam Gryglak, President of AVL Mobility Technologies.
