He works as Principal Simulation Engineer at Infineon Technologies, developing advanced simulation tools to enable optimal power semiconductor selection and support the design of high-performance system power converters, driving advancements in power electronics.
Holding a Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María in Chile, Dr. Zapata brings a wealth of expertise from academia and industry, with a strong international track record in R&D and innovation. Since 2025, he serves as Associate Editor on the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics.
