Aalborg University
Subham Sahoo is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Energy, Aalborg University (AAU), Denmark, where he is also the vice-leader of the research group on Reliability of Power Electronic Converters (ReliaPEC) in AAU Energy. He has held visiting appointments as a guest researcher in University of Edinburgh, National University of Singapore (NUS) and as a visiting professor in MIT over the years.
He has received multiple recognitions from National Academies, such as the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) Innovative Students Project Award in 2019, EU-US National Academy of Engineering (NAE) Frontier of Engineering (FOE) in 2021, the Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Young Scientist award in the year 2023. He was awarded the Norbert Weiner System Identification Award by European Netowrk of System Identification in 2025. He is an affiliate of the Danish Data Science Academy (DDSA), European Lab for Learning & Intelligent Systems (ELLIS) and Lundbeck Foundation Investigator Network, Denmark. He is also the chair of the IEEE joint IAS/IES/PELS chapter in Denmark and serves as the vice-chair of IEEE PELS Technical Committee on Design Methodologies (TC 10).
His research interests are sustainable design, development and use of AI for power electronics and systems.
