Jim Honea, PhD

Nexperia

Jim Honea, PhD, director of GaN Applications Engineering for Nexperia, has worked on the application of high-voltage, high-speed gallium nitride switching transistors in energy-conversion systems since 2007. Prior to working with GaN, he worked in the fields of IC design, industrial control, and industrial instrumentation. He received the BSEE and MSEE degrees from the University of Arkansas, and a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
