Siemens Government Technologies
Mr. Michael House is the Vice President of Product Development at Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) and has been with Siemens since August, 2020. SGT exclusively serves US Government customers through Utility Monitoring and Control, Electronic Security and Cooperative Research and Development projects centered on resiliency, energy efficiency, microgrid control, battery energy storage and advanced electrical systems. His team works cooperatively with Siemens Foundational Technology Centers to transition newly developed technologies into US Government sponsored projects.
Prior to his current position, Mr. House was the Vice President of Energy Consulting Services in the Americas for AECOM, meeting client needs in energy planning, distributed generation, microgrids, modeling and program management. Mr. House’s team with a wide variety of utilities and private companies to ensure power systems were resistant to cyber attack (NERC CIP hardened).
From 2004 to 2011, Mr. House worked at Northrop Grumman delivering program results for the US Army, US Air Force, DARPA, NASA and IARPA customers. He was the Engineering Manager of Northrop’s surface mount technology facility for the design, manufacturing, integration and testing of satellite power control and distribution units. Notable projects that Mr. House’s team supported included DARPA’s Astro Orbital Express program, NASA Solar Dynamics Observatory and James Webb Space Telescope. Michael led teams of engineers to compete and win cooperative R&D projects for Northrop Grumman ranging from electrooptic signal processing, large S-band radar systems, chemical/biological agent detection systems and explosives detection systems.
Prior to 2004, Mr. House held a variety of engineering and new product introduction roles for GE and Lockheed Martin.
Mr. House earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science from The Pennsylvania State University, a Master’s degree in Engineering Mechanics from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic University.
