Dr. Wei Han is an Assistant Professor in the SEE Thrust at HKUST(GZ), he received his B.Eng. degree from Northeastern University in 2014, his MSc and PhD degrees from The University of Hong Kong in 2015 and 2020, respectively, supervised by Prof. K.T. Chau and Prof. C.C. Chan. After that, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Han’s research focuses on power electronics, wireless power transfer, motor drives, and smart grids. He was selected in the Guangdong Provincial Talent Program and the Stanford Top 2% Scientists list, authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers, acts as the PI for more than 15 research projects, and serves as the Associate Editor for journals like Scientific Reports, Applied Sciences, Sensors and Electricity. Additionally, he has won the Grand Prize (Top 1%) of China 2024 EEEIC, applied 6 China Invention Patents and 1 US Patent, supervised 2 PhD students and 4 Mphil students for the successful graduation.
